Add Password Protection to PDF Files

Add password protection for restricting permissions, or entirely locking the PDF from any modifications or even require a password to view the document. Please consider supporting our free webapps by donating.

STEP 1

Select one (or more) PDF files to protect, by pressing "Browse"

STEP 3

Press the "Protect PDF" button to upload and add protection to the selected document(s)!

Specify the type of protection wanted

Password to add:
  Require opening password
  Allow modifications
  Allow printing
  Allow copying or extracting text or graphics
  Allow filling into form fields

More services:

  • The maximum total size of all uploaded files for adding protection is 50 MB.
  • All files are removed after adding protection is completed, or within an hour of inactivity.
  • Optionally a user can keep files in store for further work, by checking Retain files
    (in the ProtectPDF Dialog). The one hour limit still applies, where all uploaded files are
    removed within an hour of inactivity.
